Sydney Talent Company is a registered provider of the NSW Government Creative Kids Program. STC Drama Classes were started by Mr. Alan Gauci in 1982 in the Baulkham Hills area. Furthermore, he established the STC talent agency to give his students the opporutnity to continue seamlessly from learning acting to actually working in the entertainment industry. The motto of STC has been “We train the actors we represent.” All the tutors of STC are professional actors and drama teachers who bring their own extensive experience into the classroom and inspire the students to be the best that they can be. The students of STC include those who wish to improve their confidence, many who just love drama, and then, of course, those who dream of one day working in the entertainment industry.

Current STC director Jon-Claire Lee started his association with the school in 1991 when he “auditioned” for Mr. Gauci and was accepted as one of the principal tutors of the children, teen and adult classes. During this time he has taught and coached STC actors who have gone on to work in the industry, including Dieter Brummer, Kate Garven and Beau Brady (Home and Away); Luke Jacobz (host of X Factor) and Jenny Hardy (The Big Arvo); Delta Goodrem (in her first musical stage appearance, We, In Australia and for Neighbours); Daniel Taylor (Escape From Jupiter), Sophie Luck (AFI Best Young Talent award winner for Blue Water High), Kain O’Keeffe (Pirate Island, Swimming Upstream), Brady Kitchingham (Oyster Farmer, How to Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular), Harry Cook (Accidents Happen), Hany Lee (Neighbours) and many, many others.

In the last 15 years, STC drama classes have expanded its locations from the main base in Baulkham Hills to service students in Penrith. Practical, inspiring teaching of acting for film and stage is all we do because that is what we have been doing well for the last 30 years.
