The long promised screening of The Last Eden and Budget & Co is coming to Baulkham Hills. I’ve directed these two films to showcase the wonderful teen and adult actors we have within our STC family. We hope you will come and enjoy the films and meet the cast.
The Last Eden – (25 minutes) – In a post-nuclear war Earth, the radiation contaminated inhabitants only live to the age of 13. That’s the rule, but some don’t live by the rules. They rather die… This is their story.

Budget & Co – The Homeless Effect (20 minutes) – In the highly competitive cut-throat advertising world, there is the 3-person ad firm called “Budget & Co” trying to constantly keep out of bankruptcy. What happens when the aging drunk boss, the sexy cougar business partner, and the virgin trainee try to put together an ad campaign to help the homeless? Disaster plus… many laughs and a few too many touchy moments.

Budget & Co – The Homeless Effect was awarded the BEST EDITING AWARD over 50 international films entered in “The 2014 Project Homeless Film Competition.” On 11 July 2014, the Awards Ceremony was held at the Riverside Theatres, Parramatta and Budget & Co was screened along with the other 15 finalist films. Budget & Co was very honoured to be have received one of only 7 major awards presented on the evening.
Screening Details below:
Date: Monday 6 October 2014 (yes, it is labour day monday)
Time: 6:15pm for 6:30pm start of screening (event should finish by 8pm)
Venue: Room 6/7, Turner Building, Balcombe Heights Community Estate, 92 Seven Hills Road (corner of Seven Hills Road and Jasper Road), Baulkham Hills (lots of free parking available)
Cost: Free, but everyone please bring some movie snacks or drinks. We’ll set up a long table of snacks for everyone to share and enjoy.

NOTE: Term 4 Monday drama classes actually start on Monday 6 Oct, so all students are welcome to come see the films as a part of your class on the day. So, 5:30pm teen classes should come at the regular time. The 7:30pm Adult class is most welcome to come at 6:30pm for the screening and then continue with class afterwards.
