The New Theatre’s production of “The Women” opened last week with a 12 member all female cast. Our 11-year-old Jade Potts had been rehearsing and having the time of her life preparing for her role of LITTLE MARY, who is precocious and yet able to comprehend more than the adults give her credit for. This challenging character is deeply concerned by her mother’s intention to divorce her dad and desperately wants her family to stay together.
Suzy Wrong, stage critic for THEATRE (13/8/15), writes that Jade “leaves an excellent impression with a charming portrayal of a feisty and intelligent young girl.”
